About

Fabian Rogers (he/him/his) is a class of 2025 National Urban Fellow (NUF) studying for his Masters of Policy Management (MPM) at Georgetown University. Prior to this academic and leadership pursuit, he was a constituent advocate for New York State (NYS) Senator Jabari Brisport, a member of HOPE (Housing Organizers for People Empowerment), and BGJ (Brownsville Green Justice) in Brooklyn, NY. He had been on the frontlines with his neighbors resisting the use of surveillance technology, housing, and environmental injustice in his community. He continued to advocate and build awareness around housing justice, environmental justice, anti-surveillance, privacy rights, facial recognition, and biometric technology in residential communities, local/state/federal government, civil, legal, and tech organizations. During his time as a Project Management Fellow with DeKalb County Voters’ Registration & Elections through NUF, he is most interested in exploring the quantitative skills of policy analysis, operations, data analysis, and research to supplement his stakeholder strategy development, organizing, and advocacy skills. He’s looking to expand his expertise from community advocacy to direct political governance, transforming experiential knowledge into political power and pre-emptive community protection.
